All video cameras use a small chip called an Image Sensor that works like the retina in our eyes to capture the video from the lens. The quality of the image sensor will be the primary factor in determining the picture quality that you can get from any particular camera.

**PLEASE NOTE: The frame rate is slower than normal video (1-15 frames per second) because of the speed of the Internet. When used with regular TV's and VCR's, you get regular 30 frames per second video and higher quality images. The picture quality will be higher quality on a TV set or when recorded to a VCR, because the video must be compressed for us to send it over the internet.
